    You will be better off using Google to learn that sort of basic stuff (what is web 2.0 or social bookmarks) and then asking questions when you get stuck or want to know something more specific.

I mean, high and low PR, do-follow and no-follow, from forums, blogs, web 2.0 sites - all these would do. So, I think it’s hardly possible to say one should use this or that kind of backlinks, because only a diverse backlink profile actually works for SEO.
