changing template wordpress

Hi,
Does changing of template on wordpress blog mess up seo ?
I want to test but is there anything I need to do except change template. Everything else will still be the same ?

    Nope changing template don't affect. But it might affect user exp as they need to adapt to new website navigation and new looking of the site. Changing template 3~4 months once is good but keep changing might scare your visitors off. It will not affect on-page SEO as unless you change to a template like CTRTheme, heatmap theme that google is wary of.

      I do have heatmap theme. So it can affect on page SEO. In what way ?

      With all due respect, I completely disagree with this. Changing themes will change the HTML output of your pages. On page SEO is not just about meta tags, headlines, etc. How the HTML is constructed could absolutely impact SEO - either positively or negatively.

      With that said, I wouldn't be concerned about the impact on SEO. I would be more concerned about the user experience - so on that point I agree with CTR. But you could absolutely see changes in SERP when you change the theme.
