How much alexa ranking Matters ?

Hy friends ,


I just read the alexa ranking algorithms they just count that click only which user have alexa toolbar install at their PC. So I think it's is totally unfair for most of the sites it will not give right ranking info about any site.


If any sites has good traffic but their user didn't have alexa toolbar then it's mean that site ranking will be low.


My question is that , is there any other source from where I can confirm exact traffic information about any site. And what you think , how much alexa ranking matter for any site.

    Alexa ranking based on traffic. They never calculate content and traffic sources.

    But they only calculate those users click at your site which have install alexa toolbar at their PC.
    it's means they will not give right picture of your site to others. because if your organic traffic is high then every user didn’t have alexa toolbar installed at their PC then alexa will not count every page impression at your site.

    Just about the only use I can think for a high alexa rank is if someone who has it installed actually considers a site's rank when deciding whether or not to read on. (I Know I don't... but to each his own)

      Alexa ranking can give you a rough estimate of a site's traffic volume. It is not a be all end all tool. If a site has a low Alexa rank say in the 1,000,000 and above mark then chances are the site is still new or it does not have lots of traffic while a high Alexa rank say below 10,000 would suggest the site is established and would probably have good traffic volume.
