Am I going to be banned in Adsense?

My sites were running fine since last year.

But since last month in my main site with traffic of 12000 page views/day there is 1% increase of CTR from 3.5 to 5% and CPC fell down from .05 to .02.

I was shocked to see useless ads of dating, PDF viewer, Non profit ads even for valuable pages attracting competitive bidding. I've heard that those are common indications of being banned.

So I've removed the site from earnings.

Now I've tried with statcounter.com to look for fraud clicks. I can't analyze IP address since in India those (most of them) are daily changing even for broadbands.

Adsense click stats of statcounter is itself buggy one I've observed, I'm simply scratching my hair what to make out of this situation ....

Any one experienced here?

Thanks for reading ..

It is a a little weird. However I can't seeing you getting banned.

It also matters how much money you make. Google usually pays closer attention if your making a lot of money.

If you started out with a $0.05 CPC you were never optimized for any decent keywords to begin with.

Adsense is looking at the text on your pages, so there's a reason your seeing Ads you don't want, you have text on your page that's triggering certain Ads. Optimize your text. If you have a persistent Ad that you don't want displayed on your pages, you can block the Ad/Advertiser in your Adsense Admin. but I would only do that as a last resort. Optimize your pages first.

Forget statcounter, that has nothing to do with Adsense.

$.05 CPC is for those sites in India not attracting competitive ads. Overall I'm making good money ... and also expanding with new sites.

For US visitor I'd get at least $.5( 10 times).

But CPC has been consistent since 2011 Dec .. last month only it dipped to .02. Even for pages(like Income Tax) attracting competitive bidding I see worthless ads. If it was attracting good ones I'd not have complained.

I guess Adsense has downgraded my site as low earning potential. I've another good site doing as usual in terms of CPC, but there are 2-3 others whose CPC has dipped

About Statcounter.com I've read so many blogs that we can use it to locate fraud clicks. This time I've subscribed their $30 plan. But is it of use? It is just a gimmick to sell their product in the name of catching Adsense fraud clicks.

It's the second time in a year or so subscribed to Statcounter.com and leaving empty handed about catching fraud clicks.

For all I've read here and there, it does not smell in any way of fraud clicks. In case such thing happens then CTR should zoom from 3.5 to 10% or so - I guess.

Is it true that Adsense aims to increase the CTR rather than maximizing total earnings? If yes then my situation is fit case for this.

Google Adsense Team generally audits the earnings and any fraud click or suspected fraud click's earnings will be deducted within few hours. They simply don't count.

There is nothing to worry about until you are not violating the adsense terms by yourself.

not to derail, but I've been with adsense for over a year now. I still havent made a payout sadly lol but I'm climbing up ever so slowly and I've really started pushing traffic at places where my ads are lately.

Anyway, when I FIRRRRST started I know I probably clicked on a few of my own ads....not like a lot or anything....but....am I safe? I should think that I'll be fine since it was when I first started and I never did it a lot...probably less than 10 times honestly
