How Google count backlinks from forum?

Hi Guys,

I have seen people create signature pointing to their site while forum posting. I am wondering how Google count such links?

For example, if I have signature (pointing to my site) and posts 10 replies each day then Google will count only 1 link or 10 links each day for my site?

I apologize if I have confused you.

    Most forum provide no Follow links.
    Forum Marketing is for Traffic generation.
    Not so much for SEO

      Mostly forums now provide nofollow links after the penguin or panda updations.. So forums mostly using for gaining traffic..If you want to get baclinks from forum then must post your URL in your profile....Google count profile link as a backlink with dofollow..Try it...

      A wise person chooses forums, well, wisely. Then chooses
      to participate, really participate. Regularly. I have 3-4
      forums I regularly populate, WF notwithstanding.

      People don't understand that the key to using forums, is,
      well (shock) using forums.

      If you spam a zillion auto-profiles, that's trash. If you create
      a profile, then walk away forever, that's trash.

      Good forums run by good people, do maintenance on a regular
      basis. Old threads, nonactive profiles are regularly deleted. And
      out goes all the trash.

      You want a superactive forum that allows sig links, post links,
      and profile links. And doesn't put that stuff behind a login wall.

    Yes. If google does not count this as backlinks then I think lot of people will not waste their time to join forums and leave signatures.

    Yes, Google does count such links. A forum page is just another web page and if it has relevant content and good PageRank, then the links are very worthwhile.

    And in case you are wondering, although there are some links on the WF pages that are nofollow (mainly navigational links), the signature links are not.
