From A Latest Study with Blog I followed up found ,Google Removes 'Reader' From Its Product Shelf , words Google used to justify the dreadful act..
We launched Google Reader in 2005 in an effort to make it easy for people to discover and keep tabs on their favorite websites. While the product has a loyal following, over the years usage has declined. So, on July 1, 2013, we will retire Google Reader With Blog

While Reader is near about gone, its user base is now groping for alternatives that can serve as the perfect replacement. While there are plenty of options worth exploring, Feedly, Taptu, Pulse, Flipboard etc...

    It's a sad day for all the users of Google Reader. It was the second more frequently used service of Google for me. First being Gmail.

      Yes That is , Using The Same From last two years , and it was always the best way to keep track of all the websites/blogs I follow.

    There are some other resources in market. and Most probably Google takes back this decision and relaunched Google Reader in near future.....

      'Google Reader' trended on Twitter for quite some time after the news broke. A lot of marketers with big ol' sites, like Maria Popova, vented their spleen. For those of us who depend on RSS feeds to provide (at least some) content for our sites, it's a toughie.

      Everybody will adapt, but part of what makes it so frustrating is that Reader had a very committed userbase and was one of the few Google products that really warranted continuation.

      Few best names ( that also have Android apps)
      Feedly
      Flipboard
      Newsblur
      Pulse
