Moving a website

I had a blog with 10 pages on a domain that had some DNS issues and google couldn't re-index it (atleast thats what webmaster tools said)

I bought a new domain with new hosting and transfered everything there, i deleted all content from the old website and pinged it, also deleted it from my dashboard in the webmasters tools.

Now i have added 10 more (new) pages of content additionally.


My question: Will google spank me for copy content or something?

    Why not simply fix the DNS issues?
    Use a site like intodns.com to help you isolate the issue.

    ye well the hosting was slow as sh#t so its really for the better. everything is good, fast and properly configurated now. But what about the copied content?

      New domain? Why not just move everything to new domain/hosting companies.

      But to answer your question, just check and see if the content from the old domain is still indexed.

    the content on the new domain is still not indexed, also the old content on the old domain IS still indexed, i guess ill just have to wait until google updates it.

    Yeah, I'm with Rima, this is a weird question... you bought a whole new domain instead of just changing hosts? That doesn't make any sense.

    Could the reality be that you were banned because you did something Google didn't like and just didn't want to say? If that's the case, don't worry about that here... this place is a freakin support group for people who get banned, no one will judge you

    no thats not it lol. because the domain aswell as the hosting of the old website were bought at the same company i didn't really knew if the dns problem is in the domain or the hosting. all i knew that the hosting itself is very slow. also the domain name was really long and i wanted to drop the 'microniche' idea and get a new brand type domain and start ranking for the same keywords with the same articles, only i would continue adding content and authority links so i can make it an authority site.

    Use Google Webmaster Tools to specify the new domain.
    Put 301 redirects on the old one --if you still have it.

    And pray. Google still does what it wants.

    i already deleted everything from the old hosting account.. but with 301 do you mean i shall forward the old domain to the new domain?
