Another youtube video quesiton

hi, i made this video about a product on a low/mid competition keyword.

the video is 2,10 min in lenght, is that enough to rank it?
Shall i start building links to it after i've purchased views or that doesn't matter?

    Where did you hear anything about length?

    And about buying youtube views, I'll say it
    again, "Buying youtube views is a complete
    youtube violation. Since it violates youtube, it's
    also an adsense violation."

    Don't you people even care anymore? I guess not.

    Buying FB likes is also a complete violation of FB
    TOS as well. Just thought I would toss that in.

    Bullding "backlinks" to a youtube video on youtube
    is useless. You are, in effect, making backlinks to
    youtube. Embed the video on a page with decent
    SEO for the video, build backlinks to it. Or, build
    backlinks to your youtube channel.

    Based on a few experiments I've run, videos seem to be ranked on the title of the video, the number of views and the number and quality of incoming links to the video.

    I suggest when you upload the video, you put a naked link in the description box. Here's an example: . Click on the Watch it on Youtube button bottom right to see the raw url.

    Doing proper on-page SEO for your video and YT channel is very important. You can find plenty of guides here on the WF to help you out. It mainly entails putting the KWs you are targeting in your title, writing a good description with many LSI KWs, and some optimal configuring of your channel. All easy and straight forward stuff once you learn what it is.

    In terms of video length, I have read a few things about how YT will rank longer videos better because it gives them more of an opportunity to advertise to the viewers. While I believe there is some correlation, the other things I have mentioned above are more important when ranking your video.

    And yes, gaining views does help your ranking. Try and space them out, don't hammer your site all at once and then nothing.

    yes but i have read here on WF that in order to have a YT video ranked into the google index it first needs to have a popular channel with many subscribers. also i don't know the 1-2-3 in video ranking.. whats first? views, then comments, then backlinks or in what order..

      Do all of them at the same time and once again spread out your efforts over a period of time, not all at once.

    Building backlinks will help your video rank well. Those views will help you get ONLY a bigger number of views for this video. These 2 things are A LOT different! You should always work on your SEO (building backlinks), views would be a result of this

    I've ranked videos on the first page of G on views alone, no backlinking. Vagex views is what I always use and they don't need to cost you any money if you work their system right. This is after on page optimization of course. It really depends on how competitive the kw is. Harder kw's will require backlinks.
