I have a good guideline: Don't use it

Unless you like your posts to be surrounded by spun content and at sites with hardly any page rank. There are better options out there.

Are you including also Article Builder, and Spin Master as well in assessment.

So article submission programs no longer work? Some people rave about them.

90% of the methods that are discussed here don't work. And even if they do, it won't be for much longer. I would suggest buying/renting high pr links. Or some how starting your own network, it's what most SEO here do.

Classic mistake, I used to think more was better, I ended up being dead wrong and losing a lot of money. Less crappy links, more quality links equals good stable rankings.

And not sure what you mean by a network - can you give me an example?

I haven't backlinked in a while, and even when I do, I outsource to SEOs on the forum like Niko. Mike Anthony is a friend of mine and he would be able to help you also.

By own network, I meant having a bunch of sites that you own, where you place links to other sites you want to rank. This is not my area of expertise and I wouldn't personally bother with it, by it does help if you want to rank a site, especially if it easy competition.

Can you tell me the better options? I am small time - just one website with a lot of good content already, old domain, but no backlinks to speak of. I am trying to get abotu 1000 backlinks, and want to drip feed them over the course of a few months.

If you really do have good content then you don't need all the fake article backlinks.

Wherever your target traffic is, that's where you need links. People search on Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc..., they don't hang out there.

Follow the niche traffic.

As a matter of fact I have a new service coming up soon. It will definitely not provide you a 1000 links but it is sure a good way to get started.

It's a bit similar to UAW but then all the domains are privately owned by me, hosted at different IP's and the network will be limited to max 100 members.

It will cost $49/month and you are free to cancel after a month, your links will not be removed.

The network will start with around 100 sites in the range of PR2-PR5, and you can promote max 5 websites of yourself at the same time. And you can post to max 40% of the sites to lower the footprint. Each month there will also be 25 new sites added to the network, and each month you can switch the domains that you like to promote.

it will be designed in such way that you get a login to a dashboard where you can submit the post.

We do not allow any type of created or spun content though, and we actively check for that. However the posts will get placed without moderation but when we see someone breaking the rules then we delete all the posts and ban him/her from the network.

How far am I?

- Right now about 75% of the domains are installed and ready to go, so it's waiting for the other 25%.
- The sales letter will be complete tomorrow and then send out to the designer
- The dashboard for posting will be ready soon as well.

So I estimate all to be ready within a week from now.

Also what I like is that you can set the limit of how many submission a day - i.e. drip feed, so not to raise a flag.

I am really new to this, so can anyone expert with UAW give me some advice on how to use it for best results? I am only trying to get one site listed on Google's first page, with only about 2-3 imp keywords.

Forget about UAW, they were outdated yrs ago. Spinning/spun content and article marketing won't get your very far.

Oh "created" is a term that some spammy SEO sellers at this forum use, to avoid using the word "spun" as that makes it sound worse, while in fact it's the same thing. Although created more often gets associated with mashed up content, that is taking like 100+ articles and spinning it on sentence level, or in other words one sentence from each article.

I dont want any of that on my networks so people must submit unique written content only, and actually it's best for all really. Networks that host spun content have a high deindex rate, and thus high maintenance cost, and the result of that would be higher monthly fees and link loss so it's in the best interest of all to keep the network clean from such undesirable practices.

You say anyone can join. Well anyone can also join one of the biggest SEO companies networks if they put the $ on the table. There is zero difference with buying a large link package or joining a network when there is a cap on amount of users and the same strict rules that I put up myself.

Good chance they were on the same IP ranges and thus targeted at the same time. Or perhaps there were massive BMR/ALN users on the network that you used and that Google made no difference. Back then it was quite hectic.

My network was created months after the whole BMR/ALN/High PR society disaster and since then still going strong with only 2 domains deindexed.

I setup a test somewhile ago btw. my tier 2 network is hosted solely on A-class SEO hosting from Skynet (we use it to index web2.0's and such), and we post to it using ArticleWyz by using mashed up content.

Deindex rate on tier 2 network; FIFTEEN % in 3 months
Deindex rate on my tier 1 network: 0,18% per month

Tier 1 network only uses unique content and is wide spread on many different hosting plans.

Perhaps worth to mention: Most of my clients have real websites and real businesses, not some crappy affiliate - make money online - type of sites, perhaps that helps as well.

Why I have so many normal clients from an IM forum? Simply cause people know what they want, I've had literally a dozen or so people tell me that they would've never done business with me if I would sell any type of spammy links like mass bookmarks, article directory links, comments, profiles or actually anything that 99% of the users are selling on this forum. So my whole approach is different then most and that pays off and results in a private network that links out mainly to legit sites from real companies. I think Google see's that as well and most niches that we promote aren't full of people waiting to report each other.

Now this is no guarantee for the new network obvious as I don't know what type of clients that will attract. Most probably a much larger % of people with crappy sites.

Obvious it would be best if everyone had their own network yes.

Usw? Did you mean UAW? If so, are you saying that UAW is better than a private blog network? Isn't the UAW network mostly made up of PR0 and PR1 domains? I would think you can get higher PR backlinks from a private blog network than UAW.

And backlink indexer is not a backlinking service.

True, most domains in that network are not worth it to post on. As a matter of fact I tested a couple of networks back in the days that I used when I offered a wide mix of BMR, ALN, High PR society (all pretty effective) as well as a wide range of smaller blog networks.

My conclusion was that ranking solely based on the combination of:

Unique Article Wizard
Submit Your Article
Article Ranks

and a couple of other low level networks that I forgot the name from, was close to impossible and I don't see how it has improved over the last year.

I just thought it was a very bold claim by Roger to say that UAW is the best backlinking service ever. What makes you say that Roger? Are you ranking on page 1 for some tough keywords with UAW?

Nik0, was that even for low competition keywords? I would think that you could still rank for low competition keywords, maybe even some medium competition keywords using a combination of the networks you mentioned.

Isn't High PR Society still around? I assume it's no longer as effective as it used to be before Google went after it?

Personally I saw zero results and the kw's were pretty easy.

The test involved 3 different spun articles, 1 submitted to each network. Which should lead to around 25-50 sites where it will be posted on per network, so we are talking about 75 up to 150 links here.

Sorry to say but with 150 links I absolutely expect results. I myself have 1 package for sale that comes with only 5 links and those definitely increase rankings.

Some things you have to ask yourself when posting to a website or buying posts:

- How long does my post stay on the homepage?
- What is the PR of the domain?
- What other type of niches are promoted on that network?
