Make sure when getting backlinks don't use always same keyword in anchor text of backlinks, I'd stick with 70% of the time use, 30% of the time use something else!

Also install plugin called Search status and avoid creating these pages on web2.0 sites which use nofollow tags on links it will be waste of time - spend time/energy/money on getting backlinks without nofollow tag. Some web2.0 sites use nofollow tag.
I am agree with your point because now anchor tag has limited profit and no doubt some time building same anchor links may harm website ranking and once it count as flag that it will take too much for getting previous positions

I usually use unique content when pointing it at my money site. It's a safer bet if you're looking for long term rankings.

    Hey There!

Firstly, I would not recommend you to resubmit the same articles you have written for your website on other web 2.0 sites as it results in spamming, which google does not allow. This could prove to show disastrous effects on your website. Re-write UNIQUE articles for web 2.0 sites. After you have written unique high quality articles, you may post them on web 2.0 sites.

If your article is long enough, of lets say - 400 words, you may post 3 links of your website's URL with the use of anchor tags. Make sure you do not make use of the same anchor text over and over again. This would help produce quality back links for your website

Article Submission is regarded as the strongest SEO strategy to produce quality back links and help your website maintain high ranking positions on Search Engines.

Note - Although article submission is regarded as the best SEO strategy, it is ineffective if it is the only SEO strategy used. It is mandatory to make use of Directory Submission and Social Bookmarking in order to index your site on Google. Indexing helps Google find your website. It obviously cannot do so on its own. Other SEO strategies you would find useful would be press release submission, Blog commenting and also forum posting.

    Hope this information helps!

Hi crescendo, Directory submission will do more harm than getting your site rank boosted. As they are link farms and google is now penalizing almost all directory sites.

You need to create unique content. Web 2.0 properties like Hubpages can detect duplicate content and Google doesn’t love copied content and could penalize your site. Add an anchortext to your article linking to your site. The keyword density should be between 2-3% only. If your page has keywords more than this percentage, there a huge possibility that Google will penalize you for keyword stuffing. Also, Web 2.0 properties are one of the great sources of traffic and brand marketing.

There's a difference between duplicated and syndicated content. I'm not encouraging people to go out there and copy content. What I am saying is that you can create an article yourself and use it across your Web 2.0s.

I accept that Hubpages and Squidoo won't accept content that already exists on the Internet (even if you're the author) but there are plenty of sites that do. My Tier 1 Web 2.0s all use the same content and I have never been penalized. I even use Blogger with Webmaster Tools and these blogs are doing well.

I write one 500 word article then post it across 10-20 Web 2.0s. I post two links to the money site (one to the home page and one to the review post) then I start building a link pyramid (tiers).

This is a bit more time consuming but so worth it in the long run.

Smodha - do you create a new web 2.0 account for each new keyword or does it matter ? Do the links carry the same strength for the same website if you have multiple backlinks (to different pages) from the same account?

I use the same account but create new profiles in each of them. The profile name is generally the keyword that I am ranking for. I find that two links work just fine.

If you use Ultimate Demon to automate then you can create several accounts in a few clicks.

What a lot of wrong info here, you do NOT NEED UNIQUE content for your web 2.0 properties, write one article and spin it, if you need spinning software spinnerchief has a free spinner... There is no such thing as a duplicated content penalty, no matter what people say, it has been proven over and over again.

Write 5 to 10 unique articles and spin them with some content spinner, make sure the articles are readable or your properties will be deleted.

Sign up for about 10/15 web 2.0 properties, now fill everything in, your profile, ad a picture make it look "legit" as possible...

Go to youtube and find some videos that are fitting your niche, also get some stock images to pimp your content.

Make sure you renamed the images into the keywords you have targeted (don't forget the alt text where possible)

Now post each article in the web 2.0 properties, make sure you ad some videos and images to give it some eye candy.

Now place one link into your content pointing to one of the innerpages of your sites, and create a resource box like with article marketing and add a link to the homepage.

When you have build the properties go to fiverr and get some scrapebox and Xrumer blast.

Add more content overtime, have some bookmarking done over time and maintain it as an asset and you will have a lot joy of your small blog networks

      Thanks Dave!

Finally, some who gets it. I've been banging my head against the wall with Warriors who say you need 100% unique content.

In fact you don't even need to spin it. I create one article and use it across all my Web 2.0 profiles. Never had a problem with it.

It is your classic parrot behavior, they see people talk about that Google wants unique and high quality content and that is the advice they give others too, even if it is for first or second tier properties

But it's so wrong and they are steering people the wrong way, with good intentions i am sure (well for most of them some have their own agenda (or product)) but it is still wrong.

And your right you can use the content even without spinning, i just do it for security, i don't want people or Google to find my complete network of sites which would be easy if i didn't spin the content.

And also Google could of course really decide that dup content gets a penalty, and then i am still in the clear

So YellowGreenMedia, if you use same or spun content google will not penalize you? How's that? In web 2.0 their algorithm for plagiarism will not work ? Is this what you are saying?

The basic concept of making your own web 2.0 backlinks is getting a little bit easier thanks to “web 2.0″ sites like Squidoo.com and Hubpages.com,prlog.org. Sites like these make it fairly simple to make a small, single-page “micro site” with content about any topic you want.

The people giving advice here must be the same ones that used to use BMR to backlink to the money site.

Common sense, do you think that google will not eventually notice crappy spinned content linking to your site?

Take the extra time to build web 2.0 properties that will eventually have a nice PR gain and this will further improve your money site.

You seriously believe the spinned content will eventually have a PR 2 or 3?

You think a pr n/a or pr 0 will help your site? Yeah maybe for the keyword " red widget that are for sale in the usa today"

This is a business , think long term

    Hi
We can generate backlinks from Web2.0 Sites, by posting different articles. and promoting that web 2.0 site also brings traffic. By blog only many visitors will come to the website. we can do bookmarking for blog, url. From these also we can generate the traffic and backlinks.

    Hey,

It all depends on objective of site also. I will give 2 examples here.

Site A is a small niche site with short term target. Like earning for few months and then flipping that site for 12-20X of monthly income. In this case, spun content or even same article is fine for multiple web 2.0. If you ask me, I will always spun it.

Now we have our site B. With this site, target is to build a larger site with authority and it has longer term goals. In this case, I will just use unique contents for each web 2.0 properties. Will sit on them for few weeks. Then will use spun content for tier 2 & 3 links to those web 2.0 properties (call it buffer sites).

This is just to make sure that if Google come up with another update to knock down sites with links from spun content/same content, we will be safe if our 1st tier links are as safe as houses.

I can bet my life that spun content for linkbuilding purpose is just safe for now. I have ranked 3 sites recently with same tactics.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Dear Warriors

I'm very confused after reading this forum.
I would appreciate it if someone can advise me.
I want to know if I can post an article from some else website on to my site but linking it back to them. Would I get penalised by Google for doing that?
I have a plumbing website with a blog. I found an article which would be interesting for people visiting my site to read and comment. I would be linking to the original author of the article which would mean I'm giving them the credit and the link juice.
    What's your thoughts guys?

There is only one solution, and that is to Read And Follow Google's New Update Rules and Regulations.

The Linking are quite different than before, now that Google have this New Update "Penguin 2.0" which pretty much limiting all these processes in SEO World. That's include linking as well.

It always be effective to follows and study the New Update before proceeding.

Even SEO World are having this difficulties these days and same thing goes to links building too.

It's like studying every guides before take the next step forward.

The simple way i do my links through my sites and web 2.0

The very step you need is to target what or how many of sites or web 2.0 you want to have links pointing to.

I usually post 1 content for 1 site and 1 web 2.0 different content for both parties.
Second I will have these content post to my sites and web 2.0 and to build a links through my site and web 2.0, is

I created a different videos each videos pretty much linking to my contents I just recently created for my site and web 2.0

This will tells Google you are creating a unique and quality contents and a videos that are linking to your contents not the same contents on the videos
but a relevant content on your videos that is related to your story on your site contents and web 2.0 contents too.

So you just created a good linking for all parties instead of using 1 content for all parties, Google like this approach.

Always do this approaching on the same markets though because this will be relevant to Search Engines Same feeling too on Facebook.

You should definitely use unique content on Tier 1 Web 2.0s these days, the difference in results is really eye-opening. The best way would be to regularly post new articles on your Web 2.0s, treat them as small money sites, and they'll slowly build up some great authority, like a small private blog network, but for a fraction of the cost.

And about treating different niches, the purpose of these Web 2.0 blogs is to provide niche-relevant contextual backlinks, which means you need a new set of Web 2.0s for every niche you work in. Not only does this make the links tightly focused, but reduces the footprints as well.

Hi guys, great stuff here. What I was wondering that I didn't find is if I should create a persona or pen name for my web 2.0 properties? I've read a blackhat method where they would go as far as using some software to change IP address, etc. Is appearing as a another person other then the owner of main money site ideal? Is it the way to go? which would be the reason it isn't discussed so much? Please help me out here. Thanks..

I usually target ONE money keyword (and ONE URL), but depending on the amount of web2.0 properties I create, I add in variations that are close to my keywords (broad-match variations). And I always throw in a healthy amount of URL/Brand/Generic anchors. A penguin will jump out of the internet and **** you if you over optimize your anchor text. Keep it natural.
