I am using adsense on one of my site. Since last wednesday I have found some unusual activity on my site.
I am getting about 8-10 clicks daily(adsense channel is up for a couple of hours only) with 18-20 unique visitors.
On Saturday, the CTR was 157.31 % . Due to fear of getting adsense banned, I have disable the adsense channel from my site.
  • How do I detect the source of fraudulent clicking activity and stop it ?
  • How do I handle this situation ?

Thanks,
onkar

If you can trace the IP of that person, then you can block that IP from viewing your site.

Tracking the IP is really your only option.

Do you see an IP that visits your site over and over again?

You were smart to disable it for a while. Maybe the jerk will give up and move on...and in a few days you can put the code back on.

Get yourself a good analytical platform like getclicky for example and weed out the naughty visitors then block them via your host or adsense.

Ya we can track the IP of the Visitor who see the site again and again. My team lead has said about this Scenario during his presentation. But did not tell us how to do it.

    Banned
You will get banned for invalid clicks if not handled properly and immediately. You use buy Adsense firestorm plugin, Adsense defender, clickbomb protect plugin. Also use state counter to track traffic. Use who see what Ads plugin to block away bad traffic sources.

Ban the ip. But if it is done from same ip again and again don't worry as adsense's software will automatically understand the condition. But better safe than getting banned.
