.LI TLD in terms of Google SEO

Warm welcome for reading my below query about TLD's.

Well I have decided to buy a new Domain with .LI TLD and my concern is, Will it be similar interms of Indexing, SEO Rankings, and other factors when compared to .COM/.NET

I heard Google doesn't rank wrt to .COM/.NET nowadays, even a .LI having high authority backlinks and great Content and do well.

Your honest opinion please. Whether to go ahead with (oneword).LI or search for (two or three word).com/.net???

    My understanding is that Google doesn't favor any particular TLD over another. Likewise, it doesn't favor TLD over ccTLD. So, it's the same for .com or .net or .li domains.

    However, with a .li domain name, your site will most likely rank better in Liechtenstein, if your SEO efforts indicate that bent towards that country.

      Well I'm from SriLanka and Liechtenstein is not even known to me untill I searched for my keyword and found .LI to be the least cost. Whereas for same keyword I do have .SC, and few other options but they all cost $50+.

      Well so .LI is good and easy to memorize by having main single keyword attached.
