SEO Dangers of Moving Hosts

Being a bit of an idiot I changed the nameservers for two of my websites before I uploaded all the files to my new host. Well, I uploaded everything but I keep on seeing an "index of" page instead of my actual website. That's not the problem, though; I've now payed someone to do this for me, and the sites should be uploaded correctly within 24 hours.
However, both websites have been down for approximately 7 hours, but I hear that even once everything has been uploaded correctly my website will be offline for 24-72 hours.
Is there a possibility that Google will deindex my sites for being down for such a long time? Even if nothing is de-indexed, losing my first page rankings would be just as disastrous.
Anyone have any experience with this?
