Google Analytics for multiple clients

Hi,

I have multiple clients that I am providing SEO services for.

Can anyone tell me if it's a good idea to put all my clients into one Google Analytics (which makes it easy for me to check them all at once) or is it better to put them into their different Analytics account (meaning I'll have to create a different Google account for each client). What have you done and why? The same goes for Google webmaster tool.

Before anyone tells me don't connect Google or because they don't trust Google having access to their website, understand that these are proper business websites and I will be doing white-hat SEO.

Also a stats tool that I'm using allows me to upload Google Analytics data and I want to make use of this feature. Thanks in advance.

I used to put it all under one account but it's best to have their own accounts. You're not going to be working for them forever so at one point you hand all that information over. So just create a new account for each. It's tedious, but it's best in the long run.

I would recommend you have a separate Analytic account for each client. That way if you need to make one client an Analytic administrator rather that a user they wont be able to see the Analytics profiles of your other clients.

According to me it would be better to create a new account for each client as lavathemes told you that it will be easy to provide admin details to your clients and they will not able to see other clients of yours

    • Hi, according Google, if you have multiple clients, you have to create separate accounts for each of them.
