Client Starting A New Site In Germany

An existing US client (with US website) has a new initiative to get into Germany and the discussion came up about SEO'ing for this venture and translating their existing English site with German.

I would think it's wise to start a new site and not try to do both on one site. My fear is that trying to do SEO for a new country or countries my hinder their current rankings.

Thoughts??

Quick tip: Hire a translator on Fiverr. Many will translate 1-2 thousand words for $5

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!
