I'm used to getting told that I should necessarily include such a page, because SE's like them and stuff like that. But I'm wondering if it's like that. It's just taking up space in my top menu, which I can use for categories, for example.

So here's the question: Can I remove it or not?

"Privacy Policy" put this in the footer.. that will be a good instead of removing.

Make sure that they can see it anytime you are collecting any of their information. Just a link at the bottom of the page saying read this or something like that.

Some sites require privacy policies...Ie. If you are using adsense. Some sites they are not necessary. I would not put one in if I did not need to.

As mentioned above, put it in the footer...sites with About/Contact/Privacy in their header menus are doing it wrong imo.
