There are so many places to get back links, more than we could do on our own. Directories, blogs, social bookmarking sites, rss directories, ect, ect.

Best way to start might be to search your niche in the search engines and follow the links.

You could also pay people to build back links for you.

I signed up with Angela Edwards' backlinks. Its a great deal for webmasters. All are high pagerank links and the service saves a lot of time for other link building. I got a PR 7 and a PR10 link in the first months link package. The PR 7 link put me on a PR 2 page. I would recomend this to back link service any one. Well worth the 5 bucks.

Try to post on sites that will be around for a while. This creates a long lived backlink, and those are better than most free directories.

As we all know there are many ways to bring traffic to a website... I can also say using a Free Directory is one of the best way to bring traffic to a website...

I just wanted to share a few tips that i thought are must for SEO/Link Building

1) Blog comments > Very highly recommended... One has to realise first that he.she has to post comments only in Do-Follow blogs and not No-follow
Getting links in No-follow will help you get traffic but will not help you get any link

2) Forum Posting > Please make sure you dont spam any forum, you will get quality links from quality forums only if you dont spam and actually contribute...
Go to google and search for your niche + forums and try and find the best forums... make useful threads and place your links in your signature..

3) Social Bookmarking> The lates and the best way to get high PR links.. just search the net for social sites and you will find tons of list.. now you will want to post to all of them ... OR what i use is onlywire that will reduce your work and help you automate the process...

4)EDU links > Very effective and very difficult to get, so try and get these from your friends or if you know someone in your family

5) Flickr and Youtube > ie Images and Videos , these can get you some serious traffic and can get you some quality backlinks...

Also i forgot to mention make sure you always use your anchor text as your keyword and post your website link in the URL section...

Firstly getting backlinks is not too easy job. you need dedication and patience to build backlinks. yes getting backlinks through diretories is easy but its not easy to get them from blogs, forums, ..

be patient and plan on spending a lot of time building them. Also be prepared for the nofollow game, ie Webmasters trying to sneak nofollow code or similar things overnight.

Look around for some high Page Rank sites that will allow you to leave a link to your text.The page you place your link might not be a high PR page but from what i have heard,this done not make a difference.

Directories are not that great for Google. Google sees them as link farms most of the time. You can however find lots of good free links on this forum.

I am still not very good at bookmarking, there must be some tricks in making it work better.

Only long tail keywords article seems to work best with it, but they don't rank for long, it will lose the rank power very fast..

Anyone know / have experience on how to leverage bookmarking for more link juice or rank power?
