Alternatives to adsense

Hi guys, newbie here. I bought a site about a week ago which is getting good organic traffic, around 150 visitors a day. I put adsense on the site and my account has got disabled for supposed 'invalid click activity' which I wasn't involved in. Anyway, I'm getting fed up with being banned by adsense as I have been banned before as well. Just wondering what is the best way to go about monetising my site other than using adsense. It is a home design ideas site. Any ideas much appreciated

You are in somewhat of a middle position that doesn't offer a whole lot of revenue. If you started to have 500+ visits per day, you can start to position yourself for selling your own ads. Higher pagerank can help too. Keep growing a quality site and you'll get the results in time.

Yeah the more your grow your traffic the more you can make with ad sense or something similar....But you have to have a pretty substantial amount of traffic to make good money with ad sense...

Great advice but I feel like what's the point in growing my site if adsense is going to be disabled for no apparent reason. I just want to have a good site with decent advertising revenue, I'm not doing anything dodgy!!!

Well, if you've "been banned before as well" it seems you haven't bothered to understand one of the most basic AdSense rules -- you get one personal account in your lifetime, and once that's gone, its over -- for good.

If you want a site with "good advertising revenue" then perhaps you could develop a really good site, and then sell your own advertising. That always pays much better than brokered deals like AdSense.

Why not trying to promote Amazon products on your site?

Instead of getting a few cents for clicks, you can earn hundreds of dollars commission from home design products on Amazon.

You can try intext advertising. I also think that bing/Yahoo offers a similar program to adsense. I also display amazon affiliate ads on my sites. This is a great opportunity because any clicks that lead to purchases means revenue for you.

CPA or your own offers (list building) would be your best bet. Don't put all your eggs in one basket with the big G.

Some great ideas coming through, I think I'll experiment with a few of these, not sure which ones to go for, I think it's going to be a case of trial and error.

On another note, the site I bought has a lot of spelling and grammatical mistakes. I was thinking of rewriting the content and developing a new site based on the original. Is this a good idea or will it be picked up by the search engines as duplicate content and therefore be ranked lower?

Organic traffic can be bot related as well.
For monetization try adclickmedia which offers publishers photo text ads and intermission ads.

Also consider Clickbank products. Those do very well aside from Adsense. Another income stream for you to consider.

BuySellAds.com can be the best alternative, if your site has traffic, I would say.

Lol, your fed up with Google Adsense, keep going back for more bans, then looking for an alternative to Adsense.

Everything people post on this thread that's PPC will be junk that doesn't return money (they always are).

Get used to following TOS because just about everything online has a TOS (rules), even If your selling your own product you'll still have rules to follow for a checkout like Paypal or anything similar.

You can also setup a directory on your site and sell link reviews, especially if your topic is broad enough. Regardless, until you have real people going to your site often, there is very little to talk about.
