Starting a New Site in the Same Niche?

I had a smallish site (~50 pages) get hit with panda and then penguin, and it was destroyed in Google. However, it's still making enough money with Yahoo and Bing to keep running.

It's got a very good keyword structure, though, and earns very good money per page impression, so I thought I might make a second site with the same keyword structure, and do it in a Panda/Penguin-friendly way. The content would be completely new and unique; it would just have the same structure.

However, is this against the Adsense TOS? I would be using the same Adsense account on both sites, and it's not something I'd want to try to "get away with".

If the site is still doing well, then I would absolutely try to duplicate it (not duplicate content) but go after the same keywords. Personally, I'd try to monetise it differently in the first couple of months. Then switch to adsense as long as you know the new site is squeaky clean. If you're worried about adsense on the existing site you should just switch it off now. Never had a problem with that and then turning it back on again for a site in the same niche.

Then again, are you monetising to the max by using adsense?

Yes, this site just runs off of Adsense, and even its Bing-Yahoo shadow is doing fairly well.

I don't want to pull anything over on Google here. I just wondered if they disapproved of this sort of thing.

I have multiple sites targeting the same niches, using unique content, and with the same Adsense code. They all provide value to my visitors and do well in the serps. Doing this is totally fine by Adsense TOS.

In fact, I would recommend everyone build additional properties so that you can dominate the first page of Google.

Are you asking this question? The more you wait, the more time goes by. Go ahead and do it. Adsense do not care, just make sure you use unique content. You should be afraid of competitors knowing that that is a profitable niche.

I have 4 sites in the same niche, all ranked on page 1 of google, using same adsense code with no issues.
