Okay so I am setting up various Web 2.0 Blogs to gain more backlinks to one of my sites, my question is I've created web 2.0 blogs on the following networks:
-Blogger
-Weebly
-Squidoo
-wikispaces

My question is how would the most effective way to use these for backlinking? Would you recommended basic link building for these sites through or is it not necessary?:

-Directory Submissions
-Blog Commenting
-Social Bookmarking

Any tips or suggestions would be great, I am planning on creating a total of 5 different 400-600 word articles with 1-2 anchor links to our site.

If you are going to use web 2.0s for backlinking then it is usually for a tiered linking strategy. This means that it is necessary to build backlinks to your web 2.0s.

If you simply set up a web 2.0 with a backlink to your site and leave it then it will be a PR N/A or 0 link and will carry next to no value.

Thank you for clarifying that for me, that's what I was thinking as well just wanted to be 100% sure before continuing, what link building methods do you recommend for Web 2.0?

Would the following be sufficient for link building those web 2.0 profiles:
    -Social Bookmarking
    -Blog Commenting
    -Directory Submissions

You don't have to tier web 2.0 sites but its more effective when you do. Make sure your tier 1 web 2.0's are quality. By that I mean they should look natural and link to your site naturally. Don't overdue it with the anchor text ect..

In addition to social bookmarks, other good candidates in tier 2 pointing to your Web 2.0s are pdfs, wikis (keep in mind these could get edited, though), Web 2.0 Profiles, and the like. Agreed that quality in Tier 1 is important...

    Good luck.

You are almost right way to making backlinks... Now you have to do lots more like in Tier 2 or Tier 3 promotion.
Now in this part you can take help of softwares.
For this purpose I recommend you to use, SEnukeXCr, Ultimate Demon or Blog Commenting Softwares .
You need to make popularize your Web2.0 anyway.

As you are using web 2.0 sites for creating backlinks then make sure that your web 2.0 content is indexed, they are hard to index......also, they should look natural too.
