Hide/expand SEO affects

Hey,

I'm planning to speed up my site and make it more userfriendly. That's why I'm planning to use the hide/expand plugin for WP.

In short, when you click on the expand title it will show you the "hidden" content. Something similar to this: Steps for Admitted Freshmen - Admissions - Colorado State University

Now can Google read the hidden content? Does it affects my onpage SEO?

What you think. Is it good to use that?

    Google is absolutly able to read this type of content and no, it wont affect your on page SEO. Personally I like it but don't over-use is to hide content which shouldn't be hiden as it becomes boring and time consuming if you put it everywhere.

    I'm not planning to over-use it, it's just that I have a two specific tutorials on homepage. Like "how to edit video using windows movie maker" and "how to edit video using sony vegas". They are both 1000+ words long, so I thought it's wise to split them and give visitor a chance to pick.
