Need alternatives for ahrefs

I was using mostly ahrefs and OSE to spy competitor backlinks and do some analysis, but ahrefs turned fully into paid version now.

Before I go and send my money to them, I want to know what kind of alternatives (free or paid) I have?

Till now, I was mixing OSE and Ahrefs and was getting pretty decent results.

MajesticSeo is good, and paid version is only $50 a month and free version lets you do quite a bit. I tend to combine metrics from it with ahrefs and moz to get the best picture of a site.

    Hey online only,

I use ahrefs, OSE and Majestic SEO. I think all have their strengths and weaknesses. I am very pleased with Majestic. I pay for their Silver membership which is $49.99 USD per month and it's worth every penny to me. Their indexing rate seems to have increased lately (at least for what I've been looking at) and they seem to be sinking good money into R&D and quality.

majestic seo is good...if you cant afford the subscription, do a post on here (or where ever appropriate) and do a group buy where you all split the cost. I know several guys who do this...multiple IPs is fine....

If you are mostly worried about finding links, skip Majestic. Matt Woodward did some massive testing comparing them with Ahrefs. Ahrefs reports far more links the majority of the time.

I prefer Ahrefs in conjunction with SpyGlass. I take all the links from Ahrefs and import them into SpyGlass for analysis. I don't think you can get a better picture than that without Webmaster Tools.

Open link profiler is also a good option if you want to go for free. But it only counts the main domin backlinks and not the subdomain backlinks.
