Hello fellow Warriors!

Sooo, been working lately on backlinks (im a beginner) for our company website and today i transferred myself full time to Marketing! Purpose of this is because our website is currently rank 3 and i need to crank it up!

While looking around and reading through various email conversations with some marketing companies in the past , I stumbled upon an email from a trusted marketing company with the following proposal:

1. We provide "Backlinks Services" on a Per month fee based. Which include approximately 50 backlinks per week, including a monthly document with a minimum of 200 confirmed backlinks per month.
The cost is at €500 per month

My question is .. How in gods name can they find so many websites to put backlinks?

I was assigned to spend 2 hours a day doing backlinks and I would MAYBE find 1 and it wont be a very strong site. What am i missing here? How did they get all those backlinks?

Is there any chance they make like 20-30 websites, rank them up using some kind of linking process each site to each other and then eventually rank up and use those sites to rank up clients sites?

Note: Im currently involved in 2 online course (IM course and SEO) for the last 3-4 weeks.

Nobody will be able to tell you that answer.

The backlinks could stem from relationships they have with other businesses, their own network of sites, or links produced by SEO software.

To be honest, why not just ask them where these links are coming from?

That would probably be your best bet, as this is one of them "How long is a piece of string?" type questions you are asking which nobody but that company would know the answer to.

  I'm not sure asking them would help much, if they can do this they won't want everyone to know how. Do they offer any gaurantees if they fail to perform? And look out for get-out opportunities, often such gaurantees are carefully worded.
  
  One thing they could do is offer to pay for the links then stop paying after a couple of months and hope the site owner doesn't notice. I've seen this method used a few times.

GYUMAN82: Sorry about that . I thought it was a simple question Im still in the phase of trying to understand how page rank works in Google. I was thinking a few weeks ago about making like 10 or more websites and ranking them up and then selling backlinks for those sites... have no clue if it works to be honest, just crossed my mind while i was laying down at the beach

Saturdaygig: They are friends and its legit . I just found out actually, that they did do some SEO for us in the past and they also gave us a report with all the backlinks they did(around 30 websites x 3 backlinks ) and the links to the websites to check it out.

There's actually 300 000 000 and probably more websites that are selling links on their sites. They take your 500€ and buy 50 links on those sites. Easy.

Otherwise they may have a private blog networks with their domains etc

  I thought that at first but I assume OP means 50 new sustainable backlinks per month.

For backlinks, people are still doubtful about what to do and what not to do, as there are updates coming time to time, if you are doing link building then you would be getting instruction about what type of links you have to build, if you need to build blog links then you have to look for blogs I would say.. where you can comment but today only quality comments would stay and get approved.

Thanks for the replies everyone

Due to my lack of knowledge on the current topic... it seems that right now i should just continue my research on SEO and understand firstly how everything works. Then and only ill probably be able to think of some kind of business to do online .

Really want to work hard on a internet business... just don't know what to do :s SEO though, in a general point of view seems like something very strong that has great potential for a good online business

I might be wrong though
