... and LOL at the results. All top 10 pages PR N/A, backlinks are of terrible quality, MANY of them pure blog spam junk links.

Keep in mind that although this could (maybe even will) be fixed within a month, these sites will still build a HUGE e-mail list by the time Google fixes that crap.

Looks like a lot of churn and burn sites. A few sites there making a tonne of money at the moment.

  You can still churn and burn almost any site. Google just seems to be getting a little quicker in regards to slapping them. (But not quick enough to deter some people.)
  
  I'll admit that I've gone the churn and burn route to rank quickly for trending keywords and niches. And it works well. By the time the site gets slapped the niche has already lost steam.
  
  Some people build their entire business around picking trending topics, blasting their way to the top, and moving on to the next one before they get slapped. I don't have the time and energy to constantly churn out new sites on a near weekly basis. But I'll still do it from time to time if something looks like it could be a breakout niche or keyword.

This is normal... Often happened to me. My competitors ranked me out with thousands of SPAM blog comments or too many junk backlinks, but still above me in the search engines... Sometimes, I really can't understand SEO (just this)... I know how to do it good, but the algorythm is strange sometimes!

Doesn't matter, the How to make money online PPC SERP Ads are just as much junk as the organic SERPs.

  Not necessarily, new sites with less backlinks don't "necessarily" have poorer content/value. It just means that the rules for SEO are quite f*cked up. Quite, not entirely.
