Link exchange is useful or not ?

Hi friends

If any one can say, link exchange is useful or not? One of my friend is saying that link exchange is not working it is effected to you site so any one clarify for this question.

    It's useful if it's made the right way. You need total of AT LEAST 3 (three!) websites.

    A -> B (website "A" points to website "B")
    C -> A

    Where your website is A and the other one has B and C... In the past years you could do something like A->B, B->C and C->A... but nowadays this is NOT a good strategy.

      A -> B
      C -> A = C -> A -> B which is an open Link Wheel.

      A->B, B->C and C->A... = A-> B -> C -> A which is a closed Link Wheel.
