google ranked my Tier 1 backlink 1st page..

I have been trying to rank t keyword for sometime now. It was on page 2 and dropped to page 5 after penguin update.

What I did after penguin 2.0???

I created one web 2.0 blog (Tier 1) linking to money site. Added two articles 500 words each 100% related to niche. (keyword 1 used --> 1 time) (keyword 2 used --> 5 times)

then I pointed some private network links as Tier 2 to the web 2.0 blog.

Today Web 2.0 blog is on first page of Google for keyword 1 and my main site jumped to page 2.

I think my mistake was for Tier 2 anchor text I used keyword rich anchors and that is why the web 2.0 blog is ranking higher than my main site.

    Why don't you try to get referral traffic from your Web 2.0 blog?
    Contribute more and do not stop with only few posts - That may help you more on getting more traffic...

      Just keep backlinking to both your Tier 1 & main site. Your main site will outrank your Tier 1 link sooner or later.
