Well, probably this thread will be useful for most of WarriorForum users.
I create a new brand website. I did the neccessary On-Page SEO and posted 10-15 articles at first stage. Then i posted 1-2 post per day. Posts wasoptimized for the keywords and was unique with 250-350 words.
I did this in first 2-3 days of a website. But then what i did?
I tried all methods in the world, from Social Signals, Social Bookmarks to unique Web 2.0s and unique Blogposts.
And nothing. This i made everyday for about 1 month and i`m currently on Top 150 for really easy keywords. And creating unique articles, unique Web 2.0s and unique Blogposts is big sum invested.... And no results. I was care about Over optimization and link diversity. Link profile looks natural but i have really low amount of traffic because keywords (with easy competition) are just in top 150. And after the big sum invested, i wanted Top 10.
What to do?

Get niche relevant links..something like guest posts in your related niche and some social signals. But makesure, you use the anchor texts properly. Anchor text diversity is very important in the recent updates.

How many have you done so far? And are the social bookmarking and web 2.0 sites of high quality (PR & domain authority)? And how can you tell that your keyword was easy - did you do some keyword research?

Have you ever considered using ParaSites to drive traffic to your main site?

What I have been finding out after Penguin 2.0, is that "authority sites" are now ranking even more quickly than they did before. Therefore, if you use these authority sites as "ParaSites", they can drive traffic to your "Money Site" for your targeted keywords in a fairly sort period of time.

I actually started to study this pre-Penguin 2.0, and have continued to do so post-Penguin 2.0.

I have seen the best results with the following ParaSites:

    1. YouTube
    2. Amazon (ebooks)
    3. Askville.Amazon.com (Similar to Yahoo Answers)
    4. Facebook Pages
    5. Squidoo (Work well but have cracked down and have started banning accounts)
    6. Meetup.com ($12/month) The group page ranks very easily
    7. LinkedIn (The Company Profile Page)
    8. Twitter Profile
    9. Tumblr (May be able to pull in RSS feeds)
    10. Myspace Account
    11. Blogspot
    12. BBB.org (This is an authority for Google+ Local Business Pages)
    13. Dailymotion.com (Video site that is less strict than YouTube)
    14. Metacafe.com (Video site that is less strict than YouTube)
    15. Pinterest Profile (Rank Really Well)
    16. Yahoo Answers (You can ask the question yourself, and then write the answer yourself)
    17. Itunes Stores
    18. Google+ Accounts
    19. EvenBrite.com (Similar to Meetup.com)
    20. Craigslist.org (Can rank well for local listings. Downside is that they can be flagged and they expire. Good for short-term rankings)
    21. Ireport.cnn.com (Can create an account as a reporter. Really easy to rank these pages)
    22. Press Releases (These are possibly the best ParaSites, besides YouTube.)
    23. Blog.co.uk (High authority site for the UK market)

It does require some work to set this up, but the return is worth it. Also, the backlinks that these authority sites provide to your Money Site are extremely powerful, which will help your website in the SERPs.

*Just remember that in order to get the best results, you need to build links to your ParaSites.

I really hope that some of you act on this. Our company actually might create a WSO to offer this service, so stay tuned.

Please under stand that SEO is not a quick game.

I know, as a webmaster, everyone wants to see their site on top quickly, but it is not possible, it really takes time. Continue to do what you are doing. At this stage, why don't you target some other traffic sources - to do so,
    1. start blog on free blog platform and promote that blog
2.you can participate on your niche related forums (don't link your keywords, do it naturally)
    3. participate in your niche related blogs (again don't use your keywords here)
    4. go on with social media and promote your social media profiles

That should help you later days with SEO...

I understand how frustrating it to see our website ranking lower for even low competition keywords after a huge amount of hard work. All I can say is continue your work and really check whether the keywords are low competition. You have mentioned 150th position for your website. It itself shows that keyword is really not that much lower competition one.
