Is There Demand for Writers Here?

Wondering if there is demand for good writers over here at WF? I have a writer who is able to take on more work than I can give him. Will a well-researched 400+ words article in perfect English for $4 -$5 be reasonable and in demand?

I don't do articles but you would have a better response If you posted a real/example of the article, everyone & their brother claims to be a great writer for $5 (cough, fiverr).

The articles will definitely be of a high standard. Reason being that I put the writer through a good English language test that I chose and it will be proof-read by someone that used to be an editor of a small magazine (who also had to go through the test).

But my question is whether there is a good demand for such a service?

Yes PM me and if he does Good on the first one I will pay $7 and give him ton loads of work and I can hook him up with 200+ other SEOs in need of the service. However if he is work either starts out or ends up no better than Iwriters writers then no.

NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A WEBSITE WITH WRITING SAMPLES AND A WAY TO ORDER FROM YOU

DO NOT PM me. MY PM is jsut getting filled up with people who have set themselves up in no serious way hoping for me to send them money through Paypal. Its not going to happen.

I may be sending you a pm soon. Just would like to know, how do you differentiate what makes a good writer and what is not?

Basics are grammar but thats just basic

        1. Not a sentence stuffer - sentences actually means something - too many writers on the market now just create sentences that say almost nothing to pad the word count. OR they find ten different ways to say essentially the same thing

        2. Flow. You get the sense that the writer knows where he is going and has thought the article through from beginning to end. Ton loads of writers here just think sentence by sentence and the article is just disjointed.

        3. Meaningful. Waaaaaay too many writers try to fake it like they are saying anything worthwhile. Case in point. I summarize an article I rejected recently

"Nurses are very well paid. they work very hard. There are several kinds of Nurses and they work in various locations. If you want to become a nurse then you will have to study and go to school for it"

Well lahdie di freaking duh. I'll take a few sentences like that IF the article then goes into something meaningful but if the entire article is like that its poor.

Exactly why I don't understand when people say they want articles written for SEO, that's like saying I want a plumber to fly an airplane.

All a writer needs is a good description of the subject, example break a page down into sub-topics & let the SEO be done by an SEO (not a writer).

With all due respect, Mike, you're paying $7 per article. What did you expect?

If you want serious writers, pay serious rates.

Sorry SCC but I feel for you. I really do. I think its a low rate myself and know it would upset me as a writer but.....I get that at hirewriters and some select writers at iwriter.

So since I get that its not what I expect - its what i eventually get. You misread what I was saying. I was pointing out the inferior writers I get at that price point NOT the good ones.

and since I pay a chunk for content I go with it for the ROI. Now thing is I reward my favorite writers with higher paying jobs as well but you are wrong - I DO get that for that price. The key is looking for writers from native English countries but that still have a good exchange rate. Carribean writers for example are high schooled in a close to british system yet some of their exchange rates go from 20 to 1 to nearly 100 to 1 and seven dollars US is a NICE price for them.

Plus what I am talking about is not money home page stuff but for SEO (but still decent not spun garbage)

I don't understand why you don't write it yourself, you write paragraphs here all the time, might as well been a 500 word article on one of your sites. Just pay to have it edited for grammatical errors.

$1 for 100 words is actually cheap.

I've paid up to 10 cents a word for very well researched, technical articles. But at this price, the articles were "stellar content". The kind of work, where you just feel obliged to share.

hey Mike, there is for SURE a demand for quality writers on the Warrior Forum. This forum has a over 500,000 people, many of whom use content marketing in one way or another. I've made a full time living from writing articles here before (I've since diversified a bit).

If you're serious about it, I'd start a thread in the Warriors for Hire section. Write some decent copy for your thread (remember it's your sales pitch), give away some review copies and knock them out of the ballpark, then paste your reviews below your headline for social proof. Then raise your prices.

That's precisely what I did with several services. Obviously there's a ceiling to how much you can charge for your articles but if you're as good as you say you are, can research well and can put together awesome content, you WILL get customers and your thread will essentially do all the selling for you. Pricing high also filters out bad customers who don't understand the value of excellent content.

    Good luck! :-)
    Vic

You might want to specialize in a certain niche. It'd be a given that any marketer pushing a product or service would do the same himself if he aims to get a decent cut of the market he's eyeing. The marketer wants his site (or himself) to be seen as an authority on a given subject. So if you were to write for a client with this kind of mindset, you'd be in demand if you can compose your articles to make him look good. If you're good at a certain topic, you might want to strut that.
