How to know if you are getting CPM adsense ads

Hi everyone,

When I get ads as per cpc I can count them as no. of clicks. What happens when ads are cpm does it shows 1 click after 1000 impressions

    You know when you get money, no clicks.

    You should get a prorated amount for each showing
    that google counts.

    The mystery is whether they also get a set amount for a click.
    I don't believe they do. They do get in the auction just the
    same, against other bidders. How this is all factored in to
    determine when one is shown, is not revealed. Much:
    Both text and image ads can be paid on either a CPC or CPM basis. AdWords advertisers can choose which type of ad they'd like to create -- e.g., CPM vs. CPC or text vs. image. In order for a CPM ad or an image CPC ad to win in the ad unit auction and appear on your site, it has to produce an effective CPM greater than the sum of the individual text ads that would otherwise appear.
