How to track leads

If someone fills in a form or emails me from one of my sites, I can tell which site it comes from. But when people phone me (and it's a high percentage that phone), I have to ask them which site they came from. Majority of the time, they don't know because they are not sitting at their computer. If I had a toll-free number for each site, it could be tracked like that. But, each number has a monthly fee, so, it could add up. I wonder if there is another way. Does Google still provide free phone numbers. I don't know how that worked or if it could work for tracking, any ideas?

    I don't think you could do it for free. I also needed for something like this about 6 months ago, but didn't find anything for free. Just a montly subsciption. Share if you find any other way or at least cheap!
