Disqus commenting helps?

Hi all .. When I comment on a disqus enabled blog, the link when my name is clicked would be my profile page rather than my exact website .. Only upon moving over to my profile page can one see my website ..

Hence would this be totally useless in terms of seo compared to those traditional comment systems which can allow your chosen name to be a direct link ?

Yes, this is the way disqus works! You can put any relevant link within content, if it passed moderation then you get a link..

It also depends on your contribution, if you have given good points and your link is also meaningful then blog owner may approve your comment as well.

You cannot depend on Disqus commenting system for SEO purpose, it hardly helps and you cannot always include your link while commenting.

Do you even know why people use Disqus?

They just don't want people to leave meaningless comments on their blog in order to get a lowquality backlink.
