Indexing of webpages

Hello everyone,
Sometimes I check no. of webpages indexed on google using site:example.com and I see a big difference in day and night results.
Is it normal ?
What could be the reasons for it?

    Indexing of web pages means that a search engine get a website in its search results.

    Assuming you are using the exact same text each time you search, it could just be that Google is using a different filter at that point in the day to show different results. It doesn’t seem like the number should vary that much. Are you sure you are typing the query the same way each time?
