Single Page Penalty Possible?

Does G ever penalize just 1-category page? I noticed that I have 1-inner page which fell off the map, but the other pages seem to be doing fine still. Unfortunately, this inner category page that disappeared, is optimized for one of my most important keywords.

    It must be possible because I just went back 45-pages and couldn't find it. It's still indexed though because when I type the keyword and domain name, the category page I'm talking about, pops right up. All other keywords still ranking and category pages are still ranking about the same

    Yes, i believe the term they used back then was "filtering"


    big sites usually gets filtered instead of getting the whole domain penalized.
