CPC - High or Low for Keyword/Domain Name

Some people tell me I should look at high cost CPC, some say low cost. If I have a high cost CPC keyword as a domain name, won't I be paying a lot for Adsense ads I purchase to drive traffic to my site? If I want to arbitrage the site -- wouldn't I want a low cost keyword for a domain name so I can buy click-through traffic at a low cost, then sell ads which appear on my site for a higher cost? I'm confused and after many days and hours of forums and videos, I haven't got an answer.
What am I missing?

  • Walt,

I’m not sure what the purpose of your site is but you are over-thinking things here. I the big picture, the domain name is just one factor. Are you saying that you are using an EMD and plan to advertise through AdWords with it? Keep in mind that average CPC changes over time and perhaps you won’t always be using that method to promote your site.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much,

    Best,

Yup, I tend to suffer paralysis by analysis. I'm wanting to monetize with cpc and being an affiliate seller. It's my first attempt at this and I'm nervous about "pulling the trigger."

Adwords CPC won't be affected by your domain's name and it won't affect your CPC on Adwords.

I don't quite get your question because you need to state what you are trying to do. Are you going to monetize your website with Adsense or purchasing traffic from Adwords?
