How should I build backlinks?

I’m sure you will get a lot of opinions and while others may not agree, I would avoid buying links, especially if you are looking to have some longevity with your site. Purchased links generally come from less reputable or outright spammy sources. They could potentially be of benefit for a little while but they will eventually either be discredited or cause your site to fall in rankings.

Real backlink building is boring, tedious work but the benefits are long lasting. You can try reaching out to other webmasters or bloggers in your industry and collaborating on a guest post. You could also try creating an infographic and getting people to share it.

Avoid buying links to your site as Google has updated that buying links will only harm your site. Start SEO for your site. You can do it youself or hire someone. Keep patience while doing SEO and you will see a long lasting result..

In my experience Xrumer and Scrapebox are just fine and dandy for second-level links as are Fiverr gigs.

You could buy some blog reviews on Payperpost or Blogvertise, wait a few weeks, then throw some links at those posts.

I suggest you take your time and learn about SEO from recent and upcoming threads here otherwise you will be making a costly mistake using xrummer, scrapebox and the likes.

They will only hurt your site.

Thanks everyone for the detailed explanation. Xrumer and scrapbox are out of my league now. but I have a question.
for example your competitor is ranked higher than you in Google and you use xrumer to produce band quality backlinks for that site to penalize in Google rankings. How Google will know that these backlinks are generated to effect its ranking and owner didn't do it? I am just curious to know.

What Shawn said is absolutely correct. Avoid buying links unless your source is legit(like a friend involved in SEO or something similar) .

I heard great things about scrapebox but making backlinks manually is a slow and frustrating process. The results are rewarding though if done correctly.

I haven't seen your site yet but with proper OnPage SEO , you might not require as many backlinks as you think (in some cases , non at all , if keyword competition is low).

Your site seems new as it has NA page rank.. so build some relevant and natural links regularly... please use only quality sites for link building purposes.

At the same time keep creating content within your site it would also help in ranking.

Hi! Link building has changed a lot since Google´s Penguin and Panda updates.As far as I understand, it is more about having excellent content that people want to share on social sites and link to from their blogs, it is not about getting links other sites anymore.In other words, links need to be earned.

Oh! never goto such scrapebox or Xrumer link directly to your website otherwise your website can go out of index even.. As those are not good links instead create contextual links for your website Tier1.

Best way of link buildings are guest posing and article submission. Internal linking in web site takes best result. don't build links with duplicate sites.
