You may be seeing a cached version of your site or you are not aware when it went down. But really, the whole site owner of HG are feeling terrible now.

Don't get me wrong-just prepare for the worst.

Yeah, mine blipped off, too... everything appears 100% now though - all things considered, HG is still money for lower quality/smaller sites.

After slow service, they are increasing downtime also.. My site was also down for 2 consecutive hours.

There's been at least 10-20 threads on this forum today (and many, many others).

Basically, the old HG is gone. EIG bough it, and have essentially now liquidated it. You supposed "upgrade" was not an upgrade, and you were moved to the EIG facility in Utah. HG is gone now. I've been telling HG users that this would happen since the buyout in summer 2012. It's here now. You can either stay, and continue this misery, or you can go to better host and put that behind you.

I suggest all Hostgator users learn about EIG, and find a non-EIG company as a new host. Site5 and Arvixe are good alternatives. Your site will be faster and more stable. If you want to leave "unlmited" hosting, look at Stablehost.

Couldn't agree less. It's just playing with fire. Eventually Google notice that you are using shitty host thus reduce your rankings.
