How to get them to click on Adsense?

I discuss some of it in this lengthy post on my blog: Earn Online Cash with a Niche Adsense Blog. I probably ought to write a post on ad placement at some point.

It's not that of a secret. Here are some tips:

1. put your adsense above the fold and make them clearly visible
2. put the ads in the content
3. best positions are top left of the content and directly under an article, if the user is done reading. Look at the heatmap here for more info: https://www.google.com/adsense/suppo...n&answer=17954
4. use the best ad-formats: 336x280, 300x250, 160x600, 728x90
5. blend the ads with fonts and colors to your site
6. create unique, good and valuable content that builds trust with the reader
7. use section targeting https://www.google.com/adsense/suppo...n&answer=23168 to let google know, which areas of your site is content and which not (navigation etc.), that it should match it's contextual ads to and so, display highly relevant ads: Use AdWrap Plugin if you use wordpress for that: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-ad-wrap/
8. Put the ad with the highest CTR first in your source-Code (!). Adsense delivers the highest paying ads there. Here is why: http://www.jensense.com/2008/03/04/h...sense-ad-unit/
9. Avoid Smart Pricing by trying to attract quality traffic! - never get unrelated or cheesy (cheap ppc) traffic, google will smart price and then ban your adsense account
10. very important if you really want to earn with adsense: do keyword research (i.e. with the adwords tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) and implement keywords that have a high CPC into your article!

there is no right answer to this.. place ads betweeen text , at side.. it works differently for everyone

The most common approach to improve conversions form Adsense and other ads on your website is to ensure the ads blend into the content of your website. In addition you should try out different variations in design and placement as it can make a big difference to conversion rates.

Make your ads most visible and tweak them to click.

I'd focus on ad placement as well as trying to get ads to blend in more with your site.
So ad size and colors can make a big difference.

Many publishers would recommend blending colors but in my experience I always got the most clicks when my ads were colored differently from my content text.

By the way, I think Adsense recently modified their rules on blending. I read a thread here somehwere

Here are my tips:
1. Blend your adsense in website design
2. Float Ad Units beside content and above content.
3. Standardize the link colour
4. Blend in the Link URL text


But as always, make sure you have quality content that will satisfy your visitors.
