I realize that the very best "blog network" is the one that you build. Its the only way to be 100% private about it and have the least chance of getting nailed.

But, aside from that, what is the next best place to buy high PR contextual links?

Basically, I am looking for people who have their own networks but at not advertising on forums to sell their links.

I guess I am looking for places that google would LAST look to bust blog networks.

Is there any other resources?

Ummmm........This is not one of the last places they would look. This thread is like asking for the phone number of a hot girl that will have no other guys calling her.

Im not asking for specifics. Just looking for a few suggestions on where to look... or if there are even such networks. Just a bit lower key than the widely-published ones.

My personal experience says stay away from public networks period....or any network available to signup.. You are right create own blog network is best idea right now... Or create free web 2.0 blog networks for eg

Just a question, Momo, but if you're interested in rankings and search engine traffic for your sites, do you think that trying to do something that Google's so actively and outspokenly in the process of stamping out and penalizing is really a sensible/productive long-term (or even short-term!) traffic-generating plan for your business?

I don't mean it rudely, but from my perspective, it's certainly something I secretly hope all my competitors do (and some do!).
