How Does Video Makting/Submission Work?

Hi,

I see video submission mentioned a lot on the forum with regards to backlinking methods and I just wondered how that works as it is a method I haven't used before.

Is it a case of creating or having somebody (fiverr gig?) create a small video about your company and then you submit it to various sites? If it is like that, can you use the same video for all the sites? I take it it isn't like articles and guest posts where the content needs to be unique for each site?

Once this is done, where does the backlink come from? Do you just put it in the description of the video?

    Yes, it is pretty much what you're describing. If you want to build links you can create a video to go with your blog post or article and submit to different video hosting sites in the description would be a link back to your page. You could also bypass your site altogether and put a link to a CPA offer or product directly in the description.

    You could also go one step further and put a link in an overlay in your video. I know that YouTube has this available for certain businesses but I’m not sure of other services. Just having the video on a site allows you to upload a link to your site in many cases but you can also put your link in overlays that appear during the video so that people might click through to a landing page right at a key moment in the video.
