Checking backlinks

Hi I have started backlinking to my first site 2 days back via blog commenting.NowI have started to check my backlinks,ahref shows 0 baclink ,on the other hand seomajestic shows 28 external links and one domain link.Why is it so?How often the got updated?

    Ahrefs does a full update every 60 days but they refresh their database every 20 minutes I think. So, I wouldn't worry about finding your links 2 days after you posted them - it's likely going to take longer than that. Ahrefs and Majestic have different databases and that's why you are seeing the different results...completely normal.

      Thanks for clearing up...I think I need to focus more on building links now rather than worrying abt it

        Oh... As per my view you started with blog commenting now good idea..to start for backlink plan... I think you shall think to start with contextual backlinks from high PR domains or web 2.0 blogs

          Thanks Anand,for now I am doing blog commenting and will do so in coming few days as it is totally new.And yes then I have might buy some high PR links.Maybe some paid paid directory submission too.Heard that it works for many.

            Stay away from any kind of buying links in my personal experience i have seen worst experience of blog networks + high pr networks.... So i recommend making own high pr websites with tiered link building instead...

    Try backlink watch and you will get to see most of your backlinks for free, anyhow you will get links from ahrefs very soon

    There is no need worry about your backlinks because you ain't ranking.

    That same time could as well be used to build more links..

    It's not a nice approach to assume that all backlink checker will give you the same result or links you just posted 2days should show up.

    As a matter of fact, a good number of your backlinks will never be seen...

    You can try another tools, to check your backlinks. you can check for google, MSN or Yahoo ...
