It looks nice..!

Google grew a notch with their new feature called in-depth articles which has been live since 6th of this month.

The ideology that rests behind Google’s installation of in-depth articles was to satisfy users that like to read long and in-depth articles. These users form an estimated 10 percent of audience that arrives on Google.

I noticed that earlier today, I forgot about it until you mentioned it here. I was searching for fonts & used the keyword fonts, which shows the In-depth articles.

I'll have to check it out & see If those 3 sites in the font keyword example are running any schema tags to trigger that in the SERPs.

Actually Google itself suggests to add Schema tags to make sure your article is ready for indepth result. More about it here:

      Awesome, thanks for that link.

I figured that's what Google was looking at (schema tags). I've been working on a project for a week now that involves schema tags for video.

Google is really pushing structured data which is cool for us because it makes optimizing the search results a heck of a lot easier for higher CTRs in the SERPs.

In-depth articles is a great viral topic. We're now researching it and we'll soon come up with an article on our blog. From what we can see now, there's no point in chasing this section specifically. And there's hardly any way you can use it for commercial terms.

Maybe not buyer keywords in the SERPs but I think it could still be used to lure potential buyer traffic. The font example, all 3 of those pages are monetized, all 3 of those pages could have been selling fonts just as easily as providing content/links to free fonts. Those 3 pages could have also been paid subscription sites with a free article intro.

I just now searched the font example again & now there all gone, I guess Google is still tweaking
