So you are using these YouTube videos to rank for certain keyword terms? Great Idea, ranking YouTube videos is easier.

But do you know how to rank YouTube videos?

Well this is a process as well, although not as tough as ranking in Google.

Ranking in YouTube is a lot like ranking in Google 3-4 years ago. You need to slowly point many, many sites (back-links) to your YouTube video. (This is called "Drip-Feeding").

There are software's' like Magic Submitter, SEnukeX etc. These softwares are work extremely well in adding back-links to YouTube videos and you WILL get ranked fast.

If you don't know what I am talking about, or how to go about ranking your YouTube video, you could PM me with your questions.

    • I actually create two separate webinars that discuss YouTube Video Ranking in a great amount of detail.

      In the first webinar:
I show step by step how I find products to promote, how I create the videos and then how I optimize them.

      In the second webinar:
I go through an entire Magic Submitter campaign from start to finish.

Both webinars are available for mslists subscribers (link in my signature) for only $27 a month.

Unless your monetizing directly on Youtube (Adsense) all your doing is junking up Google SERPs, where you could have ranked your own page in Google SERPs (skip the middle man, Youtube).

Your creating unnecessary competition when ranking YT videos in Google SERPs. Nobody will land on YT & watch a single video, they'll click the heck out of that right sidebar on YT, clicking competition video thumbnail images.

Your are just plain WRONG on SOOOO many levels.

Let me break this down for you.

      1) All your doing is junking up Google SERPs

If Google thought that videos junked up the serps then they wouldnt display those that werent monetized - PERIOD

      2) Nobody will land on YT & watch a single video

Many people DELIBERATELY go to YT to watch all kinds of videos (music, how tos, trailers, reviews etc)

      3) they'll click the heck out of that right sidebar on YT

Not if you have decent videos that keep them engaged and offer a clear call to action. Also at the end of a video, you can display a nice slide for 20-30 seconds telling them exactly what to do next as this stops the related videos popping up right away.

You definitely need to move with the times mate, in the last 7 months I built a business solely on YT and Clickbank (using cloaked links) that now pays me between $3000-$5000 a month in affiliate comms.

This additional money supplements an already very decent income from my 15 local clients (all of whom have videos ranked page 1 google) and my coaching clients.

        You've completely missed my point.

        This traffic flow sucks:

Google SERPs (ranked YT video) > Youtube (bazillion competition) > Your sales page > Checkout page

Better traffic flow for ranked video thumbnail images in Google SERPs:

Google SERPs (ranked self hosted video) > Your sales page > Checkout page

No offense but If you would have skipped the middle man (Youtube) you probably would have brought in more money each month.

Once you have Google SERP traffic on your self hosted web page, there's zero competition (guaranteed).

        • I understand your point and nothing beats your website ranking in Google but that also takes a bizzilion days longer to rank.

          Videos fly up the rankings
Videos can be made with any screen capture software in less than a minute
Videos require no written content (apart from a 2-3 line description)
          Videos require no hosting
Videos don't require you to buy a domain name.
Videos have a captive audience on YT (even if you don't rank in SERPS)

So see your cons but the pros far out way them.

About 40% of my traffic actually comes from YT referrals from related videos (that other people own), so I will stick with it.

There's nothing wrong with ranking both, infact, with my clients, I play the short game with videos (get quick results) and play the long game with their websites (get safe results).
