Hi guys,

I checked my backlinks in webmaster tool and wanted to ask you guys which one could be the one who caused me this hit so i can remove that backlink

Domains Links Linked pages
feedagg.com 11 11
feedlisting.com 11 11
chime.in 6 1
alltop.com 6 6
mrwhatis.net 3 1
domainsigma.com 3 1
thetrustimonial.com 3 1
virgilio.it 3 1
ask.com 2 2

My content on my site is all original and no spun text or anything like that. any help is appreciated.

What anchor text are you using for your backlinks?

Organic rankings for webmasters is now officially a precarious joke. Welcome to the land of Google and all who sail upon her stormy waters.

    How new is your site?
Where was your traffic coming from?
What kind of traffic was it?
    What was your bounce rates?
How many days did you average 150 visitors? Where these Unique or Page Views?
Where you ranking for any keywords?

Need a little bit more information before anyone could make a accurate assessment.

Trying to rank for Google organically these days is a joke.

If you're serious about making money online, then ranking on Google should never be your first port of call for traffic.

An organic Google ranking should only ever be seen as a pleasant bonus on the side.

all my traffic came from google. i had around 150 page one keywords and yes 150 a day was all Unique IPs with around 200 to 300 page views daily. my bounce rate was at around 65%. it literally drooped over night and now i have 11 keywords left which are still on page one on google searches.

All I can say is your in trouble. If it was me I would get all links deleted if possible and start over, find a good program that shows you how to get back up in the rankings after google slaps you around a bit.

Good luck and I have been there more than once.

You say you had 150 keywords ranking on page 1 and now only 11? I would think you would have visitors a day than just 150 with those numbers. Where are the other 139 keywords now? Have they dropped from the serp completely?

When did you add your site to this feed directory?

I don't think just one link added would results in such drastic results overnight. From my experience it usually takes a little while for backlinks to show up in Google Webmasters Tool, and it never shows all your backlinks.

    I'm guessing

Without knowing the domain it's hard to any further investigation. Could it be possible that your site was a victim of Negative SEO. Is it a competitive niche?

Its the only thing I can think of. The site is in the weight loss niche

this is how it looked before the hit

      https://www.dropbox.com/s/y2uc04pf8t...52-19%20PM.jpg

and this is how it looks now

      https://www.dropbox.com/s/21jio0p496...55-26%20PM.jpg

Quite honestly it could be anything and I am trying to find out what hit me as I cant think of anythig else then backlinking. This might be a naive questions but is there a way to contact google and ask them why I was down ranked so drastically overnight?

How old is yours site? If its somewhat new it will get slapped around when you build links. Just make sure the links are good and wait it out, chances are your rankings will pop back within a week or 2.

    Walter-

There was definitely a minor Google Algo update that week. Other people on the forum were thinking that too many affiliate links was the problem.

My affiliate sites keep ranking. Here's what i do with aff links.

Make sure about 40% of your pages have no affiliate links. You could simply add a bunch of youtube pages, it's free.

If you have an affiliate banner ad in the sidebar remove it. Instead, put the actual affiliate banner on 1 page of your site. Then do a screenshot of it and make it a clickable banner in your sidebar. When you click it you get taken to the 1 page with the affiliate link.

That gets rid of having an affiliate link on all pages of your site.

That's actually a cool idea to hide a aff link but are they really big of a problem? I have a lot of ads on my front page but a LOT of content too so maybe if you have enough balance its fine? That would work for me.

A crappy product or service by people that disappear from the forum for a long period of time to make it look like they were working on something so when they come back you will want to click on their crappy product or service link

Same thing happened to me last month. 150 hits a day down to 5-10 a day. It has been a month and my traffic hasn't improved. Focusing on other ways to drive traffic now. Google is just too unreliable.

A possible reason could be that you were blacklisted by a search engine. For example, did you receive ALL these 150 visitors from Google? Or any other website? Also, it depends on which keyword you used to build this EXTRA backlink!

Same thing happened to my site at the end of the year. Your Google Honeymoon wore out. You had a short benefit of the doubt traffic spike, Google analyzed the bouncerate and how often people were coming back to your site.

Not trying to be offensive but if your content was that good some of that traffic would be coming back without Google's help. Since it's not your content probably sucked like mine did. I did reach out to Google when I lost 90% they just said no manual actions were taken and their algorithm fluctuates.

My site in question was doing product reviews on everything. It offered nothing better than what you could find on Amazon and I made a quick 1000.00. All in all that's chump change that wasn't worth my time.

Sorry about your loss I experienced it first hand except I was getting around 500 people per day.
