    Hey,

Personally I think it is always better to go for .com, .net or .org if you can!

    Best,

    Steve

Based on my experience, it does not make a huge difference regardless of the extension name of your domain (.com, .org., .edu, etc...) if you'd like to rank well on Google. The quality of your content will carry and do the work mostly.

But if "brand-ability" is your concern, I'd say that:
    - you choose the .biz extension if your site is dedicated to business (online and/or offline)
    - you choose the .info extension if it's an informative blog that aims to educate a group of people in the society or profession

    Just my two cents.

From an SEO perspective I always go in one of two directions.

    1. Either choose the .com .net or .org if available.

    2. A brandable domain name.

I never use a .info .co or any other extension.

Well first of all what are you trying to do with the website?
If you're just delivering something to a paid audience, it doesnt matter. But if you're trying to rank for organic traffic, listen to what everyone else has said.
If you cant get a .com for your website, and you're deadset on having the name... get a .org
