Normally, when there's any change in policy, they will email all their users/subscribers. Didn't you receive an email from them as an early notice regarding that change?

I don't think this change was just implemented recently. I did a research on your behalf and I found threads in 2012 asking the same.

    It's a shame

When I first started in 2008, my whole strategy was to submit a ton of Ezine articles, get them ranked in the search engines, and get free traffic. From there, I moved on to much more lucrative stuff like PPC

Had it not been for this type of "bum" marketing, I probably would have never gotten off the ground in I.M.

  • It's been nofollow for some time, but it really doesn't matter too much. Those would have been links from a site that is not related to your niche anyway so the 'link juice' would have been minimal.

There was a time when those links would have been valuable, but that time is long gone. EZA can still be useful, but not for link building.

EZA links are dofollow in the resource box only. They also become nofollow if your account is suspended.
