Hi,

one of our client websites inner pages/category pages are not yet crawled by google, we have done onpage seo along with submit sitemap and robots file, google webmaster account setup for website, but website page are not yet crawled and index by google

There might be a directory file structure or some other issue, kindly suggest
#google #indexed #pages #website
  • have you submitted a sitemap to Google? If not, do that and they will know where to crawl.

    Here are a few thoughts.

Did you check the robots.txt to make sure it wasn't no-index?
Is there content on those pages worth indexing? (unique, linked, etc.)
Are there duplicate title/content issues with the site?

If those things are all in line, share the pages on Social Media, make a craigslist ad and a few blog comments on news sites. That should get the spiders to those page in no time. Also, check the pages crawled vs. pages indexed in Webmaster tools, that may hold some key info as well.

When did you submit the sitemap? If you have submitted it recently, wait for some more time, as, it usually takes time for Google to analyze and crawl all the pages of your website. (patience, patience and patience)

Mate, why don't you post the URL of the site so we can check? If you can't post it publicly, you may PM it to me so I can check if it has not been really indexed or you might have just overlooked something.

When did you create those pages? If you've just created them like a few hours ago, wait a little more. I haven't had any problem getting my websites' pages indexed on Google.

You didn't specify the amount of time you have waited. Sometimes Google takes longer to index.

As others said make sure there is nothing blocking them first.

Have you ever tried to ping that particular page?

The following are some things I have tried in the past, you can see if it works for you too.

If you have a blogger or web 2.0 have an anchor text within some post.

Do a screen capture of the website or part of the information upload with description information and if possible link to social websites like instagram, tweeter, facebook etc.

Another way is to email the url between your Gmail and hotmail.

These are some weird ways of getting website or urls indexed that I have tried.

The rationale behind these techniques is that popular websites are often being crawled hence having your link on popular websites will get that page etc indexed faster (provided the content on that page is also worth indexing).

The email technique is sound if you believe google bot or the service providers are actually scanning and crawling through your messages to find relevant ads etc to show you hence, another opportunity for the bots to locate that page of yours.

    Best of luck

    Danny

In Google's guidelines, they specifically mentioned there they can't give the guarantee they'll crawl all the pages of the website and they don't index everything they crawl.

You didn't mention a noindex tag on the problem page, so that's the first thing I would check on the HTML source code of the page.

Sounds like it could be a blocked file in robots or noindex. I'd recommend checking it for duplicate content and see if that's it. Also try checking the page for errors using Google webmaster tools. Sharing to social media works well or linking to the page in a blog post.

What to do when your site isn't indexed by google bot:
    1. Do not panic and overreact - gbot needs a time
    2. Check if you didn't forgot remove nofollow, noindex, noarchive metatags
    3. Check your robots.txt
    4. Submit sitemap.xml to google webmaster central
    5. Create some links form your already indexed sites - gbot like to index site with backlinks.
