To Redirect or not to Redirect?

I've been looking at Domain Buying on a Place called Sedo.
If I was to buy a domain with a PR of 4.
(Again, this is all theoretical).

Would it be better to:
A) Buy hosting for it and turn it into a blog posting platform for my websites.
B) Just 301 redirect the domain name to my main website.

I would use it as a REAL website, with great content and so. It will help you to save the PR and add value.
Why do you need to buy a new hosting? For linking to your other sites?
You can use aSeoHosting (or others) to receive different IP's.

    P.S - Nice headline

Well if it already has visitors to that website, make sure you don't 301 redirect.
As then people will expect one website and will come to yours. This will increase bounce rates which can ruin your rankings in Google.
