Google is planning to shut down old keyword research tool & launching new tool that is keyword planner. Yeah I am also facing same problem. New keyword research tool is also good. Please try I sure you will also like it.

I finally realized what the problem was. I had an ad blocker on firefox with some add-ons so that was causing the tool not to show up. When I use keyword planner on Internet Explorer there were no problems.

Ah .. problem solved. Sorry for the confusion. It was not the tool itself but I figured it was the browser I was using. Thanks guys!

Google has replaced adwords KW suggestion tool with keyword planner https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3141229 though I think your problem was some javascript blocking, glad you sorted it out.

Keyword Spy is good alternative, with keyword spy you can search with multiple search engines besides Google and Bing, you can also search for multiple keywords.

Google Keyword Tool just died. They have replaced it with Google Keyword Planner. I've been using it before they have released the tool. In my evaluation, the tool is nice to use because they already provide keywords in group. Still waiting for some good reactions and how to utilize the power of that new keyword research tool.

I think still a good match from the previous one although I would be very interested to know if there are guys out here who can recommend some good tools to use in doing long tail keyword research.

Google Keyword planner is really confusing now. Previous keyword tool was user friendly and easy to find keywords. As an alternative to Google Keyword tool, I am using KeywordSpy, Wordtracker and SEMRush. These are wonderful keyword research tool I suppose.

I always give preference to do manual selection for the keywords. This is a best way .so do not rely on the tools .

Keyword Planner is just like the Keyword Tool.

In fact i like it better.Its easy to use once you get the hang of it.
Just do a search on youtube for the keyword planner,there are lots of vids and shows how to use it properly.
