Are you seeing volatility in SERPs.

I am seeing wildly disproportionate results in SERPs - depending on geography.

I have a video targeting a national b2b keyword on page 1 in a couple of southern states. (Clients offices on northeast coast). Here locally for me - its not ranking on pages 1 through 20. I stopped clicking after that.

Then there is a site in the same vertical my buddy owns. He's on page 1 position 4 in his state for a national term I am targeting and on page 3 in mine.

What's going on for you guys today? I'm an SEO noob - what are your thoughts on what is going on?

    Moz.com has a service where they actually monitor the SERPs and they can tell you how much it has moved, then you can compare to other updates and see how much it has moved in comparison.
