Bing account closure?

Hi there,

Quite a few years ago I created a bing account. I may have done one ad or just set one up and done nothing.

Anyway I was really keen to get into bing advertising again and went to go into my old account and it said it had been closed for security reasons.

When I try to login it says as a security precaution this account has been disabled.

Now I've been trying to get bing to sort this out for me and i have just received a very blunt email....

the account has been closed... For privacy and security reasons, we cannot provide details around your specific account closure, but the most common reasons that require us to close Bing Ads accounts include:
The payment method on file was not authorized by the account owner.
The account was accessed without authorization.
The account is related to an account that was previously closed.
The account was determined to be high-risk to other customers or advertisers, as stated in our Editorial Guidelines.
As described in the Bing Ads Terms and Conditions, we do not need to state a specific reason for account closure. Please know that we have taken this matter seriously and thoroughly investigated the issue. This decision is final, and we consider the issue closed.

Is it possible to get a new bing account when something like this has occurred? I don't even know if i ever ran an ad with the disabled one, I may have set one up, but I had done pretty much nothing with it?

thanks in advance

Colleen

as far as I know yes, you are able to open up more than one account with Microsoft Advertising; you are also able to add sub accounts under the account that you currently have open. You can have as many as six separate accounts. The maximum number of accounts is subject to change by adCenter if it is suspected that someone might be fraudulently using your credit or debit card. Inactive accounts do not count toward the maximum number of accounts.

      Don't waste your time.

Last week I opened an account with Bing Ads for the first time, created a campaign and funded it with $50 using PayPal. 24 hours later they locked my account down.

I contacted Support and went through a 35 minute interrogation over the phone yesterday, and 25 minutes ago they sent me the same email that has been referenced here citing fraudulent practices and criminal activity, (which I am not guilty of, of course).

The only conceivable thing I can think of is that they didn't like that I used PayPal to fund the account. I've never been involved in fraudulent dealings in my life, and there is no way anything like that could come up during a background check, because it's never taken place. I'm a former member of the United States Army that has been vetted up and down several times, so their "security reasons" excuse for shutting down my account is laughable.

I know Google is more expensive and a pain in the rear with all their restrictive policies, but I've never heard of them shutting down advertiser accounts for no reason whatsoever. I think I'll stick with them.
